Measurements were taken in the red Main behind the sewage treatment plant in Bayreuth and microplastic particles were detected in the water. The detection results could be retrieved on site in real time. The system worked reliably, but the sampling process remains complex. Zaitrus is confident that the prototype will be ready for the market.
