Both Hessischer Rundfunk (HR) and Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk (SWR) interview Dr Martin Löder on the EU ban on microplastics in individual products.

The EU is enacting a ban on microplastics in various product groups, such as in cosmetics, paints and medicines and granules on sports fields with different dates of entry into force. From 15 October 2023, for example, microbeads or glitter in cosmetics will be banned, while an eight-year transition period will apply to artificial turf pitches.
