"Science meets art ...from plastics to microplastics", is an iniative by the Iwalewahaus from 27 February 2020 to 4 March 2020 inviting visitors of all ages to look at the issue of plastics, the age of plastics, microplastics, and sustainability.

Mbongeni Buthelezi is busy at work in the studio of the Iwalewahaus. Interested individuals or groups of students who would like to meet the artist can register with Philipp Schramm.

Ceremonial opening of the SFB Microplastic Science Rally and the exhibition of Mbongeni Buthelezi’s artwork in the foyer of the Iwalewahaus

Bayreuther Stadtgespräch (Public talk in German language): "The age of plastics: non-objective reports on the subject of microplastics unsettling consumers. What researchers really (don't) know, and forward-looking solutions."
