21.08.2020
Participants of the Write it Right Workshop. 20-21.August 2020.
How can I publish my results successfully and with a lasting effect? How can I communicate my first scientific results clearly, distinctly and visibly? How important are title, abstract and keywords?
Gadi Rothenberg and Christopher Lowe from the University of Amsterdam discussed these questions with the CRC1357 Microplastics PhDs during a 2-day Write it Right Workshop. The PhDs also learned new skills in technical English, qualitative and quantitative graphics. They got informed about the impact of secondary publications.
The prize for the best manuscript was won by Nora Meides (C01 project) and Anja Holzinger (A02 project). Congratulations!
"Vigorous writing is concise. Use short words and simple sentences. That is the way to write English. Don't let fluff, and flowers, and verbosity creep in." (Mark Twain)
